Taking off 40t lighter than the current in-service competitor for the same mission, the A350-1000 burns less fuel and produces less CO2 emissions. This significant weight advantage also gives the A350-1000 an additional 1,000nm range over its closest competitors. In fact, the A350-1000’s 8,400 nm standard range means it can fly practically anywhere on Earth, non-stop and profitably.
Built from a clean-sheet design, the A350-1000 demonstrates fuel efficiency and high operational profitability while delivering savings of over $40 million per aircraft over 15 years for fuel alone, when replacing previous generation aircraft.
The A350-1000’s clean-sheet design delivers 25% less fuel burn per seat and 24,000 tonnes less CO2 emissions annually compared to the current in-service competitor. Besides being a precious asset in the framework of ICAO’s “CORSIA” (Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation) and other CO2 neutrality targets Airlines can benefit directly by saving up to $1 million per aircraft per year in noise charges from airports such as London Heathrow.
